World Beer Festival Columbia South Carolina

The Columbia South Carolina World Beer Festival was held on January 28, 2012 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center located in downtown Columbia. This was the fourth year of the World Beer Festival in Columbia, SC and the event was completely sold out! The World Beer Festival crew is working on the 2013 Beer Guide which will feature listings of the beers, the bands, and food vendors. Stay in tune for 2013 Festival dates and details!

The World Beer Festival is always a spectacular Columbia event. The 2012 World Beer Festival sales were announced on November 16, 2011. This event announcement was followed by a mass beer tasting during Vista Lights. This tasting introduced over 500 people to the wide range in beer styles. World Beer Festival preview events continued through December. Visit the All About Beer website for a list of beer tastings in the Columbia, South Carolina area that were scheduled prior to the World of Beer Festival event.

Columbia, South Carolina is proud to continue to host the World Beer Festival. The mission of this event is to educate the public so that they gain a beer appreciation. This event brings over $1 million to the local community and each year brings something new! Generally, there are over 100 breweries present for the event and there are a wide variety of beers to sample including pale ales, pilsners, ciders, stouts and many more.
