2015 Woodcreek Classic
August 24-29, 2015 from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM 
 The Woodcreek Classic SwingThought Tour hosted by The Members Club returns to the Woodcreek golf course for the 9th consecutive year, August 23-29, 2015. This will be a week of great events, including a pro-am tournament, a longest drive contest, a Shootout and the centerpiece event, a 72 hole tournament for up-and-coming young pros on the SwingThought Tour (Aug 26-29).

As many as 130 golf tour stars of tomorrow will compete for a total purse of $140,000. This tournament, the season ending contest, is popular with the players because of the quality of the Fazio designed course and solid tournament management by staff and volunteers. It is also an opportunity for Midlands residents to see some great golf free of charge. ​

Five After Five

Five After Five is a FREE outdoor local concert series hosted at the fountain in Five Points. Enjoy great local music and fun times on the fourth Thursday of each month until August, from 6:30pm - 10pm. In addition to expanding this year’s series over the spring and summer seasons, Five After Five will also feature local food vendors, arts & crafts vendors, local brews, and more entertainment for the kids. More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure, and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year. ColaTown Oktoberfest
September 19, 2015 from 3PM - 7PM 
The 2015 ColaTown Oktoberfest features approximate`ly 60 breweries with over 100 Tap Handles in 50 tents. There will be 5+ food vendors including Two Wurst Wagons, River Rate Brewery's BBQ and more. Tents will be stationed throughout the entire property. The Brew Bus will pick up and drop off at designated areas around the city for a $10 fare. Columbia SC Model Train Show

The Columbia SC Model Train Show is FREE for kids under 12! Enjoy continuous drawings for Children's books, whistles, Lionel videos, wooden Thomas & Friends Toys and O gauge / HO / N individual cards. Plus, a Lionel Ready-To-Run set will be given away to a child under 12! There will be Thomas & Friends wooden train tables for kids under 8 to play with during the show and Four O-Gauge trains for kids to run themselves with adult supervision. The Haute Dog Lady will have a kids meal available for purchase. For adults, there will be 165 tables of all train gauges and O-Gauge Parts dealer, Jerry Domenico, will be there.
