EdVenture in Columbia SC is a hands-on, interactive children’s museum of South Carolina. Visitors will enjoy 92,000 square feet of learning and fun. This South Carolina Children’s Museum is home to the world’s largest child named Eddie. He is 40 feet tall and visitors can climb through his body to explore his brain, heart, stomach and more.

Eclipse Day at EdVenture
August 21, 2017 from 9AM - 5PM
Come mingle with astronaut characters, learn the science behind the solar eclipse and party on the patio as we gather together for this rare event. Come early as the first 1,000 visitors get free solar glasses provided by Google. EDDIE's eyes will be on the sky! Activities include Patio Party, Create A Solar System Mobile, Design an Eclipse Model, Solar Eclipse Show, Phases of the Moon Cookies, Marshmallow Constellation Art, Home Safe Home & Pop-up Activities. EDDIE The World’s Largest Child
EDDIE is forty feet tall sitting down and weighs 17.5 tons, making him the world’s largest child. Visitors can climb through EDDIE and visit his brain, crawl through his heart, bounce around his stomach, and slide out of his intestines. He is the first thing that visitors see when they walk through the front door and is impossible to miss!
EdVenture has created hands-on programs that encourage children to learn by doing rather than watching. Here are a few examples of the wonderful programs offered each year at EdVenture Children’s Museum:
Celebrate your birthday with EdVenture this year and enjoy a guided museum exploration, a special birthday ceremony in front of Eddie, a t-shirt for the birthday child and more.
Visit EdVenture Children’s Museum for Eddie’s Winter Break Camp, Eddie’s Spring Break Camp, and Summer Camp EdVenture. Registration is required for these exciting EdVenture Camps.
Wags and Whiskers
Take on the role of a pet owner, veterinarian or groomer at the Wags & Whiskers exhibit. Learn about responsible pet care as you choose a pet and take care of your animal. Diagnose ailments, decide on the best treatment, and learn why it is so important to spay or neuter your pet.
Explore the world of the butterfly when you visit EdVenture’s 2,500 square foot living exhibit. This enclosed habitat is designed to showcase the lifespan of over 20 species of butterflies. Check out the Bloom Room to observe chrysalises and emerging butterflies.
